There are A LOT of options out there when it comes to tools for your business. I'm going to share with you the ones that help me the most.
There isn't really a category for this one unless amazing counts! Grab yourself a LastPass account like yesterday. It will store all of your log in information for you across multiple devices. That means you can get into any site on your laptop, desktop, tablet, phone... where ever you need! No more little book with them all written down - the experts say never to do that anyways. No more forgetting your log in information and having to reset your password!
If you take work with you or if you need to collaborate with others, you need an online storage option! Putting my goods in the cloud is a must! You can use DropBox or Google Drive. Either of these will store your documents and images so anyone can access them from anywhere - as long as you give them permission.
You may feel like you don't need this one, or even know it's an option but let me tell you, it's LIFE-CHANGING! While there are many out there, the 3 I have used are Trello, Asana, and AirTable. Trello is a really great place to start. It will give you what you need to keep projects straight without too many bells and whistles to feel overwhelming! Asana is similar to Trello but it will let you do a few more fun things. This is the one I use daily to manage both my own projects and projects with my clients. And the last one is like Excel done way better! While it's slightly different than the other 2, it's great for keeping track of data. From clients, to blog links and so much more, you can track and tag them really well. BONUS - these all have a free option so you can try them out and see how they fit into your workflow.
Like I said, there are a ton of options out there and you may find one that works better for you but start somewhere! You need tools to help keep your business organized. Use what's out there so you can focus on the things that matter over spending time chasing things down because you put them "somewhere safe" for later.
